General Luna Mayor Matt Florido has dipped into his own pocket to provide the land for the construction of the Colegio de General Luna.

Florido said he has signed the deed of donation for the one hectare property in Sitio Manggahan, Barangay San Isidro Ilaya.

The land cost P350,000, and he bought it with his own money to donate to the school, he said.

“Ito ay mula sa sariling bulsa ng inyong abang lingkod, ang aking naipong ilang buwang sweldo at midyear bonus last year,” he said on Facebook.

He decided to donate the property for the school for the sake of the children in the town, he said.

“Iniaalay ko po ito para sa ating minamahal na bayan at para sa magandang kinabukasan ng bawat kabataang Heneralunahin,” he said.
