Quezon Gov. Danilo Suarez joins unity walk and peace covenant for the elections
Quezon Gov. Danilo Suarez is one with other officials in hoping for clean and peaceful elections in May.
Suarez joined the Unity Walk and Peace Covenant in Lucena on Friday, according to the Quezon public information office.
The event is intended to secure the commitment of candidates to keep the polls clean and free of violence.
The activity was an initiative of the Philippine National Police, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Commission on Elections.
Also present at the event were Quezon Rep. Helen Tan, former Agriculture Secretary Procy Alcala, Councilor Third Alcala, Board Member Alona Obispo, and other local candidates.
Also at the event were Quezon Police Provincial Director PCol Joel Villanueva and representatives of the Comelec and DILG.
