Infanta LGU looks forward to archaeological survey

Infanta Mayor Filipina Grace America is excited for a survey that would look for potential archaeological sites in her town.
America recently met with archaeologists from the University of the Philippines-Diliman who paid her a courtesy visit and discussed with her the conduct of the archaeological survey, the Infanta local government said on Facebook.
The project is an initiative of the Tourism Section as part of its Local Cultural Heritage Program, it said.
The mayor looks forward to the results of the survey to know more about Infanta’s history, it said.
“Mayor Grace mentioned in the meeting that she’s very much interested to know the results of the future archaeological activities in order to contribute to the narrative of Infanta and to mitigate the effects of calamities and natural disasters to such cultural gems,” she said.
