Cabuyao Mayor Mel Gecolea distributes rabbits for meat production and breeding program

Rabbit meat, anyone?
One of Cabuyao Mayor Mel Gecolea’s programs to provide livelihood to city residents is to breed rabbits.
Gecolea said on Facebook that he has distributed a pair of rabbits and a kilo of feeds to the first batch of beneficiaries of his program.
The rabbits would be bred and used for their meat, he said.
He said the beneficiaries would also undergo orientation on the proper care and breeding of the rabbits.
A second batch of beneficiaries would receive rabbits next month, he said.
Those who want to join the program could send a message to the Facebook page of the Cabuyao Agriculture Office or visit its office, he said.
