No Pfizer and Moderna for booster shots, says Antipolo City government

Jan 24, 2022 @ 9:57

The administration of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in Antipolo would be limited and these would no longer be available as booster shots, Antipolo Mayor Andrea Ynares advised the public.

This was based on the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Ynares said the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines would be reserved for the vaccination of the 12 to 17 year old age group, and for the second dose of adults who received the same brand for their first dose.

“BAWAL na po gamitin ng adult ang PFIZER at MODERNA kung 1ST DOSE pa lamang niya. BAWAL na din gumamit ng Pfizer at Moderna para BOOSTER ng 18 years old and above,” she said on Facebook.

Those getting their booster shots could choose between the Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines, she said.

“Inaabisuhan po ang lahat ng ating kababayan na nais magpa-booster ay magtungo po lamang sa SINOVAC at ASTRAZENECA VENUES,” she said.
