Santa Cruz Mayor Edgar San Luis is happy that majority of his constituents are protected against COVID-19, which means it has reached herd immunity.

San Luis announced that 73.51 percent of Santa Cruz’ population, or 82,249 individuals, are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Another 6,726 have received their booster shots, he said.

He thanked all those who got the jab as well as the frontliners who led the vaccination campaign.

He urged the rest of Santa Cruz’ population to get vaccinated, and reminded residents to continue to adhere to health protocols.
