Imus Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi shares contents of COVID care kits, stresses need for early detection and mitigation
High-risk COVID-19 patients recovering at home will receive several kinds of drugs from the city government, according to Imus Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi.
Maliksi said the COVID-19 kits would contain six pieces of Molnupiravir, 7 pieces of Levofoxacin, 10 pieces of Sodium Ascorbate, 40 pieces of Dexamethasone, and 9 pieces of Oral Rehydration Solution.
These would be provided to symptomatic patients who belong to vulnerable groups, such as senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and persons with disabilities, he said.
He said this is part of Imus’ strategy to detect and address infections early at home since this is where transmissions tend to occur.
“Ang hangad nating gawin: early detection and mitigation at the source. Ang pinakamataas na tsansa ng hawaan ay nangyayari sa loob ng bahay, kaya’t dito tayo dapat magsimula kung susugpuin natin ang COVID-19 at Omicron,” he said.
