Taytay is close to hitting herd immunity, says Mayor Joric Gacula
More than 142,000 residents of Taytay have been fully vaccinated, which means it is close to reaching its goal of herd immunity.
Taytay Mayor Joric Gacula said this represents 56 percent.
Gacula credited the efforts of the local governments, frontliners, barangay health workers and volunteers for this achievement.
He would love to see the numbers increase further, he said.
“Taytayeños, magagawa nating itaas pa ang bilang na ito!” he said.
He reminded residents to make sure to get their second dose to complete their protection.
He also said those who are eligible should get their booster shots as soon as possible.
