Rizal schools to be closed from January 17 to 29

Jan 15, 2022 @ 9:37

Students in Rizal will have to take a break from their school work for two weeks.

The Schools Office Division of Rizal announced that classes will be suspended from January 17 to 29 due to the increase in coronavirus infections.

“Classes are suspended in all levels starting January 17 up to January 29, 2022, in consideration of our teachers’ and learners’ health and well-being due to the COVID-19 surge,” it said on Facebook.

In Antipolo City, private schools will be given the discretion to declare a health break, according to Mayor Andrea Ynares.

Ynares said not all of the private schools are in the same situation.

“Halimbawa, may ilang private schools daw po kasi na kakatapos lang mag ‘health break,’” she said.
