Jan 13, 2022 @ 9:44

COVID-19 testing in Antipolo’s own molecular laboratory has slowed down due to the temporary closure of the facility.

Antipolo Mayor Andrea Ynares announced on Facebook that the laboratory is closed until January 17 because health workers and pathologists have gotten infected with COVID-19 themselves and would need time to recover.

Ynares said this was not an isolated cases as even laboratories in other regions have experienced the same problem, and their workers have had to quarantine as well.

“Salamat po sa inyong pang-unawa. Malalampasan din natin ito sa tulong at kooperasyon ng bawat isa,” she said on Facebook.

The mayor also said that in the two years of its operation, the Antipolo Molecular Laboratory has served not just the people of the city, but also residents of other regions.
