Farmers’ group receives funds from Quezon govt
The Quezon provincial government has improved a group of farmers’ chances to sell their pineapple products.
The Samahan ng Magsasaka ng Nieva received P2.6 million from Quezon Gov. Danilo Suarez for its pineapple processing center project, according to General Luna Mayor Matt Florido.
The money would be used for purchase of a refrigerated van that would transport the pineapple products to the market, said Florido.
Florido also vowed to support the farmers in their endeavors.
“Para sa magsasakang Heneralunahin, patuloy po kaming magtatrabaho para sa inyo…para sa patuloy na tagumpay ng bawat samahan at mamamayan,” he said.
