COVID-infected Boac bishop calls on public to get jabs
After getting infected with the COVID-19 virus, Boac Bishop Marcelino Antonio Maralit urged the public to get vaccinated.
The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) said Maralit made the call in a video message posted on Monday (Nov. 2) while confined in a hospital bed in Lucena, Quezon.
“Get vaccinated, not only for you but also for your loved ones,” the prelate said.
“When you join the vaccination program, you are not only helping yourself, you are helping our society,” he added.
As a person who experienced getting the disease, Maralit told the public that “it is very difficult to get COVID.”
The bishop made the call as the government launched a three-day massive vaccination drive from Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1.
