Len Alonte seeking reelection as Biñan rep
By Billy Begas
Deputy Speaker Marlyn Alonte filed on Friday her certificate of candidacy for reelection as Representative of Biñan City.
Alonte is pushing for the establishment of local manufacturing plant for vaccine, testing kits and personal protective equipment amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Kapag nagawa natin yan we will be hitting so many birds with one stone,” said Alonte referring to the creation of jobs and economic activity it will bring.
She said the establishment of manufacturing plants in the country will also ensure the steady and affordable supply of vaccines.
Alonte said the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Investment (BOI) and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) should come up with a unified set of incentives that will attract domestic and foreign investors to local operate vaccines production.
“I hope dito sa Biñan itayo yung Vaccine Manufacturing Plants. Makakatulong yan sa ating mga Biñanense at sa buong Pilipinas,” she added.
