May pera sa basura! Lipa Mayor Eric Africa’s trash to cash program hits two birds with one stone
Lipa Mayor Eric Africa’s Trash to Cash program has double the benefits: it keeps the city clean while helping his constituents earn money.
Africa’s Trash to Cash program recently went to several baranggays to collect recyclable materials from households.
The households could provide the recyclable materials in exchange for grocery items, according to a post on Africa’s Facebook page.
The recyclable items correspond to points which they could use for the groceries.
Participants in the program would have cleaner and less cluttered homes, and get food as well.
It’s a win-win!
#EmpowerBetterAdvance,” Africa’s page posted.
