Veggies over flowers! Pakil Mayor Vince Soriano makes his garden edible
Pakil Mayor Vince Soriano wants his garden to not just be easy on the eyes, but to be good for the stomach as well.
To achieve this, Soriano has been replacing his ornamental plants with vegetables.
In a Facebook post, Soriano said many areas of his family’s mini farm is being turned into an edible garden, which is also one of his advocacies.
As a result his santan and other flowering plants have been replaced by taro and ginger.
His mother’s greenhouse is also now being used for vegetables.
This saves them money and ensures that his family always gets fresh greens and spices for their meals, he said.
They can now enjoy farm to table goodness!
Soriano posted.
