Libre yan! General Mariano Alvarez Mayor Maricel Torres warns vs national ID scammers
Getting a Philippine Identification card or national ID should not cost you a cent.
General Mariano Alvarez Mayor Maricel Torres issued this reminder on Facebook as she warned of scammers who offer to process people’s PhilSys registration for the ID.
In her post, Torres stressed that the ID and its delivery are free.
Anybody who seeks payment for the processing of the application for the ID would be held liable for violating the Anti-Red Tape Act if 2007, she said.
Don’t open your wallet to these scammers!
#SerbisyongMayPuso,” Torres posted.
