Cavite BM Kerby Salazar’s realization on his COVID journey: Life is short, tomorrow is never guaranteed
Cavite Board Member Kerby Salazar took to social media to share life lessons he realized during his battle with COVID-19.
In a Facebook post about his COVID-19 ordeal, Salazar said he realized that life is short and that tomorrows are never guaranteed so people should “let go of bitterness, pain, grudge and resentment.”
“Lagi nating piliin ang kapayapaan, katotohanan at kabutihan. Let love and kindness rule our hearts everyday,” the Politiko said.
“Tanging ang matibay na pananampalataya lamang sa Diyos ang mapapanghawakan natin sa kasalukuyang panahon,” he added.
Salazar reportedly contracted the coronavirus last year. He announced his recovery mid-August 2020.
In his post, Salazar thanked everyone who helped him get through his fight with the respiratory illness, especially when he developed pneumonia.
He bared that there was a moment in his COVID journey that he has surrendered his life to God. But he believes God still still has a mission for him to accomplish.
“During the ordeal, when I was in so much pain nasabi ko, ‘Lord, kung hanggang dito lang po talaga, kayo na po ang bahala. Siguro naman po ay magiging inspirasyon na sa iba ang buhay ko.’ When I developed Pneumonia, I asked Mama Guada; ‘Kung may misyon pa ho ako, tulungan niyo po ako.’
“Mabuti ang Panginoon! May misyon pa tayo.”
