Please don’t call me to circumevent the rules, says Real, Quezon Mayor Bing Diestro Aquino
Real, Quezon Mayor Bing Diestro Aquino has a gentle reminder to all those who want to enter her town: respect the rules, especially at checkpoints.
In a Facebook post, Aquino said those there are rules to prevent those who are not residents, who are not in an emergency, or who do not have proof of official business or approved activity in Real from entering the town.
She asked that people not call her to request her to allow these individuals to enter in defiance of the rules.
She appealed to them to respect the frontliners at the control points who are just enforcing government protocols.
It would not be good for the mayor to issue orders defying these rules, she said.
Aquino said she was not angry, but decided to issue this reminder because some people are getting mad at police and local government or barangay personnel for enforcing the protocols.
Remember, the rules need to be enforced.
Don’t expect the mayor to break them!
“Reminder to all regarding checkpoint (tourism control point):
Favor lang po, huwag na po sana tumawag sa akin kung ang concern po ay para palusutin ka o ang iyong mga kaanak o kaibigan kung wala pong proof of residence, or any document that will show that you have an official business / approved activity in our area, or you do not have any considerable emergency reasons. Please respect our frontliners in the control point and all others who strictly follow the Local IATF protocols. It will be very helpful if you will let us do the job. Hindi po masasayang ang byahe ninyo if tatalima lamang po tayo. ?,” Aquino posted.
