Governor Jonvic Remulla said he intends to get the stand of Caviteños on who to support for the upcoming 2022 presidential elections.
In a Facebook post, Remulla said a united Cavite, one of the vote-rich provinces in the Philippines, “can shape the conversation” in the 2022 polls.
“So I have been contemplating: Instead of me endorsing a candidate, perhaps it ought to be my constituents who should advise me on WHO we should support as ONE vote-rich province?” Remulla said.
“Sure, this will be a long process of consultation and dialogue. But you see, this cannot be my decision alone,” he added.
He went on: “I’d rather we do this together as one massive collective force of 2.2 million strong registered voters – so we can shape the conversation and contribute to the country as a whole.”
In the same post, the Politiko again reiterated his plan to seek reelection in the 2022 polls.
He added that the political atmosphere will soon change with the advent of the elections.
“Tiyak magiging maingay ang mga susunod na buwan at siguradong titindi ang mga awayan. Abangan ang maraming siraan, bardagulan at walang tigil na pakapalan ng mukha at pagbuhat sa sariling bangko,” he said.
