Don’t be lax, you may be infecting loved ones, says Infanta Vice Mayor LA Ruanto
Infanta Vice Mayor LA Ruanto has illustrated how easy it could be for a person to unwittingly infect others.
In a Facebook, Ruanto shared a scenario where a person could become infected with COVID 19 and spread the virus without knowing it.
He said a person could meet up with someone in public and then they would remove their face mask while chatting.
Though both of them are showing no symptoms, one of them could be carrier of the virus unknowingly. They would then both get infected and could show no symptoms.
But when they arrive home, they could pass on the virus to their more vulnerable family members.
This now gives rise to a situation when somebody who does not even leave the house becomes a COVID 19 patient, he said.
Ruanto said this was why people should not be complacent about observing health protocols.
COVID spares no one, he said.
Don’t just think of yourself, think of others as well!
“Isipin niyo to ha:
Nagkita tayo. Nung araw na nagkita tayo, wala akong nararamdamang kahit ano. Walang ubo, sipon, lagnat.
Isang taon na mahigit, people. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR MASKS AND PRACTICE ACTUAL PHYSICAL DISTANCING. AND NOT TO MENTION, DO RELIGIOUS HAND HYGIENE. According to CDC, hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infections. You can spread certain “germs” (a general term for pathogens like viruses and bacteria) casually by touching another person.
Keep safe, everyone!
