Cavite Rep. Pidi Barzaga remembers his defeats and wins on his bday

Mar 26, 2021 @ 11:25

As he turned 71, Cavite Rep. Pidi Barzaga could not help but look back on the milestones of jis life.

While some of his constituents consider him lucky, his life has been no walk in the park and success did not come easy to him, Barzaga said in a Facebook post.

What’s important is that he was determined to reach his goals and was able to succeed, he said.

He thanked his wife, children and the rest of his family, as well as his constituents, who all contributed to wha t he has achieved.

He does not know what the future holds, but he is very thankful for who he is and what he has and could not ask for more, he said.

He vowed to continue doing his best for the people he serves.

He’s had a full life and would like to give back!

“MY DEFEATS & WINS ON MY BIRTHDAY

Many of our constituents are saying, ‘masyado akong mapalad’, ‘that I am very lucky’ but they do not know the hardships, disappointments, and frustrations in life that I experienced before I became an elected public servant.

In life, there is no easy road to success. As we travel along the way, there will be obstacles, frustrations, more disappointments, and perhaps even loss of spirit; but as long as you rise after each fall and you have the determination to reach your goals, success will be achieved.

As I celebrate today my 71 years of existence, I am truly grateful to God, to my family—Mayor Jenny, Kiko, Third and Enzo, to my sisters, to my relatives, to our constituents, and to all the people, who one way or another contributed to what I have achieved.

I do not know what is in store for me in the future and with all humility, I must say with candor and honesty that I am very THANKFUL for who I am right now and I could not ask for more. Rest assured that like what I have been doing in the past, I will do my very best for the City of Dasmariñas Cavite.

I would like to end this birthday post with my favorite quote from Stephen Grellet:

“I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

Maraming salamat sa inyong mga pagbati.?,” Barzaga posted.
