Tourist spots in Magallanes temporarily closed to public

The Local Government of Magallanes in Cavite has temporarily closed the town’s popular sights for non-residents starting March 23 to April 6.

Among the areas closed to public according to an Executive Order issued by Mayor Jasmin Maligaya Bautista include Buhay Forest, Utod Falls, Mt. There are many Jump Offs and resorts and accommodations in the town.

After April 6, the said areas will be reopened to tourists but they are required to comply with Section 6 of Executive Order 09 Series of 2021 of the municipality, which states that all “travelers and non-residents” who go to town are required to submit or show a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR Test with one week validity.

Meanwhile, returning residents including OFWs are required to undergo a seven -day quarantine upon arrival at their destination LGU.

The latest directives are due to the spike in coronavirus infections nationwide.
