A vegetable garden in Angono is reaping praise not just because of what it produces, but because of what it used to be.
The eco-garden in Sitio Labahan used to be a dumpsite.
But with the efforts of residents, barangay officials, and the local government, it was given a new lease on life, according to Angono Vice Mayor Gerry Calderon.
Calderon shared an article that lauded the eco garden, which now produces various vegetables for the community.
This is what cooperation does, he said.
It turns trash into treasure!
“Kpag magkatulong ang mamamayan, Barangay at Pamahalaan, kayang hawiin ang bundok ng basura, Ecowaste Park Garden ang resulta,” Calderon posted
