Calaca Mayor Nas Ona wants kids to get shots

Jan 28, 2021 @ 11:00

Kids cannot get the COVID 19 vaccine, but they must get other life-saving shots.

In a Facebook post, Calaca Mayor Nas Ona reminded his constituents to make sure their children are vaccinated against polio, rubella, and measles.

The vaccination drive for these diseases will kick off on February 1, and they better join it, Ona said.

Rural Health Unit teams will be visiting their barangays, he said.

The vaccination drive aims to prevent an outbreak of polio, rubella, and measles.

He said additional doses of the polio and rubella vaccines will be given for more protection, and even those who had been inoculated in the past should participate in this new immunization drive.

Getting vaccinated against these diseases must not be delayed especially in this time of a pandemic, the mayor said.

We’re already dealing with COVID 19, we don’t need an outbreak of other diseases!

“CHIKITING SIGLA, CHIKITING LIGTAS!

???,” Ona posted.
