Paete is known for its wood carvers, but it could be known for more in the future, according to Mayor Mutuk Bagabaldo.
In a Facebook post, Bagabaldo shared that it is also his dream to develop agro eco tourism in Paete.
He wants to embark on propagation for wood security and have integrated farming as well as an artists’ village for livelihood programs.
The mountains in Paete could be developed for farming since the town center is already crowded, he said.
Paete’s future is in the mountains!
