They objected, he listened.
Cainta Mayor Kit Nieto announced on Facebook that he had already ordered the termination of talks with the potential supplier of China-made COVID 19 vaccines.
In his post, Nieto said his negotiating team had been talking with a Chinese company for vaccines that would augment the supply of AstraZeneca doses that Cainta would buy.
The deal for AstraZeneca vaccines had been signed, but he was concerned that it may not be enough.
However, he noted that many had objected to his proposal to buy Chinese vaccines.
Because of this, he directed the vaccine documentation team to end the talks with the Chinese company.
They will try to secure more vaccines from other sources, he said.
The decision is that easy!
I have directed our covid vaccine documentation team to terminate talks with our potential second supplier.. and secure other sources apart from the entities we have so far met with..
