Cuenca Mayor Faye Endaya Barretto got something unexpected on her birthday.
But it was a surprise that made her really happy.
In a Facebook post, Barretto shared that her local government family, the Department of Education and her husband Carmichael came together to surprise her with a celebration.
Her office was decorated with balloons and a banner to set the party mood, and she was presented with flowers and cake.
Her dress nearly flew up when she got startled by the party poppers, she said.
She was also pleased about the heartwarming video greetings that were played during the event.
It was a truly special day!
