Basketball games are still banned, says Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon
For many Filipinos, basketball is life.
But the basketball fans would have to content themselves with watching games on TV as they are still not allowed to play it.
Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon took to Facebook to remind her constituents that contact sports like basketball are still prohibited because of quarantine restrictions.
Calderon lamented that the situation is just getting muddled by fake news claiming that basketball games are allowed.
She posted a photo of her executive order stressing that government guidelines still do not permit basketball games to be held.
She called on the youth to focus on their online studies in the meantime.
Listen to the mayor, please!
“EO 2020-44 (CONTACT SPORTS)
Napaka daming pasaway, sinabayan pa ng fake news na pwede na daw mag basketball. Ang kulit. Bawal pa nga po kasi. Mag online class muna mga bata ha. Makinig please. 😘,” Calderon posted.
