Majayjay’s preparations may have paid off as it had zero casualties during the onslaught of typhoon Quinta.
Majayjay Mayor Jojo Clado shared the good news in a Facebook post, where he expressed his gratitude to the lord.
Now, the town can focus on efforts to recover, restore, and pick up the pieces, he said.
He welcomed the new day with a selfie and a smile.
He also asked the people of his town to clean up the area in front of their homes, while Majayjay officials would conduct an assessment of areas that were damaged by Quinta.
