More than plantito! Cabuyao Mayor Mel Gecolea launches program to teach farming methods
Teach a man to plant and he may never go hungry.
Cabuyao Mayor Mel Gecolea is helping the farmers in his town become more productive by launching the Bayanihan sa Cabuyao: Farmers’ Field School.
The program aims to teach farming methods and techniques to improve the food security in Cabyao, Gecolea said in a Facebook post.
This is especially important amid the COVID 19 pandemic, where things can often be unpredictable.
With this, Cabuyao would be able to rely on its own people for food!
“Ating opisyal na inilunsad ang Bayanihan sa Cabuyao: Farmers’ Field School ngayong araw, October 7, 2020 sa Cabuyao Enterprise Park, Brgy. Banaybanay.
#YesToMel #YesToAgriculture,” Gecolea posted.
