Businesses in Cuenca, Batangas should be wary if a food order supposedly coming from a politiko also includes a request for cellphone load.
In a Facebook post, Cuenca Mayor Faye Barretto warned of a scam where the people pretending to be elected officials order food and then ask for cellphone load.
She said this was just a modus to defraud them, and they should not readily believe such requests.
Verify first before passing on that load!
“Isa pong babala sa mga business establishments lalo na dito sa Cuenca, huwag po agad maniniwala sa mga nagkukunwari na elected officials na umoorder ng pagkain tapos magpa pa add ng cellphone load. Ito po ay isang PANLOLOKO o MODUS OPERANDI. Mag-ingat po tayo at huwag basta bastang maniniwala. Stay safe po!” Baretto posted.
