Barangay health workers are among the most overworked in this time of a pandemic, and Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat has reached into his pocket to give them some relief.
In a Facebook post, Salamat said the health workers informed him of the difficulty they have in crafting their reports because they do not have a computer.
This was why he decided to use his salary from the government to buy them a laptop.
He hopes it would help ease their burdens and thanked them for all the work they do.
He salutes their effort, and one way of thanking them is by providing this device!
“Ang ating mga BHWs ay mas pagod ngayong panahon na mayroong pandemya. Sila ay mga frontliners din na nangangalaga sa atin. Kaya nung sinabi nila sa akin na hirap silang gumawa ng report dahil wala silang computer ay agad ko pong ipinagkaloob sa kanila ang isang laptop na galing po mismo sa aking salary sa munisipyo. Sana po ay malaki ang maitulong nito sa inyong tanggapan BHW President Ate Violy Del Mundo. Maraming Salamat po sa lahat ng BHWs sa ating bayan. Saludo po ako sa inyo. ???
