Danny Suarez: More localized lockdowns may be enforced with Quezon back to GCQ
More localized lockdowns in barangays and towns may be enforced as Quezon is reverted to general community quarantine (GCQ), Governor Danny Suarez said on August 15.
In a Facebook post, Suarez said the continued rise of COVID-19 cases in Quezon is a cause for concern.
“Ang mas higit na nakababahalapa ay ang pagkahawa ng marami sa ating mga frontliners lalo na ng mga health care workers at uniformed personnel, na maaaring magdulot ng mas malalang problema sa pagtugon natin laban sa COVID-19,” he said.
Suarez reminded Quezon residents of the need to observe health and safety protocols as a precautionary measure against the virus.
“[S]imula sa Agosto 16, 2020, muli tayong nasa GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE (GCQ). Mas mahigpit at mas maraming pagbabawal kaysa MGCQ,” he said.
