Gov problems! Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla airs educ woes, questions IATF motorcycle shield
School opening is fast approaching and for Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla, this won’t come cheap or easy.
In a Facebook post, Remulla said the province would have to prepare P5 billion for the modular learning process in the province, and it would have to shoulder the cost of this.
Remulla noted that as per the Department of Education, only 10 percent of homes have full time access to computers for the students.
Almost 100 private schools have also closed down, meaning the public education would be further burdened.
But he noted that the province’s 2020 budget is only P4.7 billion, and P1 billion was already spend for COVID 19 response.
The governor will present his Cavite Educational Plan this week, even as he lamented that it seems that only the rich can afford an education now.
But it’s not just education woes occupying his mind.
He also questioned the government rule requiring plastic barriers to couples riding tandem in motorcycles.
The backshield is dangerous, inconvenient and does not make sense, he said.
Jackets, face masks, and helmets should be enough, he added.
Looks like the Gov has a lot of Monday woes!

Dear Sec. Briones:
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I am not a complainer. This week we will present our Cavite Educational Plan. It is our local solution to a NATIONAL problem.
It is unfortunate that at the time of COVID, every Filipino student should be given a chance at proper education.
Yet, the reality is only the rich can afford to learn.
Thank you for the new Backride Policy for Couples.
It is dangerous, inconvenient and most importantly, it does NOT make sense!
Wasn’t it based on the point that couples who live in 1 house makes transmission less possible?
#Gov1VicUpdates,” Remulla posted.
