General Luna Matt Florido boosts morale of COVID 19 patient with cellphone and snacks

Jun 20, 2020 @ 10:57

People battling COVID 19 don’t just face medical problems.

They could also suffer from anxiety and distress because of their isolation and the uncertainty of their condition.

But General Luna Matt Florido won’t let them get their hopes down if he could help it.

In a Facebook post, Florido shared that he gave a smart phone to the town’s first COVID 19 patient so that he would not be sad and bored in the hospital.

He learned that the patient has been amusing himself by drawing, which is the only thing he could do since he has no smart phone to go on the internet and spend time on social media.

This prompted him to buy a smartphone for the patient, which he sent along with snacks. He would also send fruit to the patient, he added.

He likewise called for prayers for the patient’s recovery.

Now this is wholistic care from the mayor!

#MAYORwithaHEART #WeHealAsOne,” Florido posted.
