Thanks, lolo! Cavite Rep. Boy Blue Abaya celebrates Indepedence Day
Cavite Rep. Boy Blue Abaya was one of the millions of Filipinos who commemorated Independence Day, but he is different in the sense that he was also honoring his own ancestor in doing so.
Abaya is descended from Emilio Aguinaldo, the first Philippine President.
In a Facebook post, Abaya said that before celebrating the 122nd Independence Day, he visited a monument to his grandfather to commemorate his heroism for the country and thank him for the freedom we all enjoy today.
Without his grandfather, Philippine history would be very different.
He is one grateful apo!
Abaya posted.
