Catanauan, Quezon Mayor Ramon Orfanel has extended the lockdown of Barangay Dahican until June 7 as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

In a Facebook post, Orfanel said non-residents will not be allowed to enter Barangay Dahican while those residing in the village could not leave without government permit.

Orfanel ordered a 48-hour lockdown of Barangay Dahican on Tuesday, June 2, after a resident tested positive for COVID-19.

The 45-year-old patient exhibited symptoms such as fever, cough, colds, sore throat and difficulty in breathing.

Orfanel said the lockdown’s extension was extended by the Rural Health Unit and the local Inter-Agency Task Force.
