‘After 3 weeks iba na’: Vilma Santos admits experiencing anxiety due to lockdown
Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos admitted that she experienced anxiety when Luzon was placed on lockdown starting March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Santos told Philippine Star entertainment editor Ricky Lo that the first few days of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was uneventful.
“It was fine for family bonding during the first several days but after three weeks iba na. I started to suffer from anxiety, especially after watching the news about people dying and getting infected, people losing their jobs at ang pagbagsak ng economy. I was scared of everything,” she said.
Santos said she had to stay at home because she’s already a senior citizen. Despite her limited mobility, she said she continues to work.
“I’ve been working from home (WFH) at puro Zoom meetings,” the Star for All Seasons said.
After more than two months of Luzon lockdown, Santos said her anxiety has been under control.
