‘Wag masyadong excited! Ramil Hernandez warns of another lockdown if MECQ guidelines aren’t followed

Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez has warned of another lockdown if residents will not follow rules under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
In an Instagram post, Hernandez cautioned residents not to be too excited about the easing of some restrictions in the province.
“Gusto nyo ba maglockdown uli ang Laguna? Pakiusap sumunod po ang lahat sa mga patakaran magmula sa pinakasimpleng mamamayan hanggang sa may pinaka-malalaking negosyo,” he said.
A number of businesses, including malls, have been allowed to reopen under MECQ.
Hernandez said it is better to open the economy slowly but surely rather than worsen the pandemic due to people’s carelessness.
“Dahan-dahan sa pagkakaisa natin malalampasan natin ito. Huwag po masyado magmadali at makalimot mag-isip at mag-ingat,” he said.
Hernandez assured the government is doing everything it can to manage the spread of COVID-19.
“Magtulungan tayo sa ating mga kahinaan sa halip na magturoan at magsisihan tayo sa kahinaan ng bawat isa,” he said.
