Para fit to work: Antipolo tests law enforcers for COVID-19
The local government of Antipolo recently tested law enforcers for COVID-19 to find out if they contracted the virus in the line of duty.
The testing took place on May 13 at Dalig National High School and on May 14 at Cupang Elementary School.
Members of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology were swabbed for the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, the so called “gold standard” in COVID-19 testing.
Over 500 residents of barangays Cupang, Dalig and San Jose were also tested for the virus using rapid test kits.
In a Facebook post, Antipolo Mayor Andeng Ynares said over 4,000 residents and frontliners have been tested for the virus.
