Trabaho lang! Jonvic Remulla vows: I won’t lie, steal

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla has assured the public he will not take advantage of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis to enrich himself or abuse his power.

In a Facebook post on April 29, he urged the public to rally behind him as he devises ways to control the spread of COVID-19 in the province.

“I will never lie. The figures I give you are the official ones I get from the Provincial Health Office,” he said.

Remulla, who had drawn flak for earlier threatening to put Cavite under lockdown, said he will also not steal.

“Di ko on hanapbuhay ang pagkakitahan ang buwis at pinaghirapan ninyo. Katulad ng mga testing kits natin. Ang unang offer ay P2,700 (kasama na kay Eddie) ang isa `(LGU price daw?). Hindi ako pumayag. Naghanap ako ng bagong supplier. Mula P2,700 bumaba ng P950,” he said.

Remulla said he will “always” do his best for residents of Cavite, though he admitted that the

“Let us all be patient. Let us Pray that we, the land, the people, the hopes, will all be healed soon,” he said.
