I-donate na lang pambili ng alak! Jonvic Remulla: Liquor ban in Cavite stays
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla has no plans to lift the liquor ban in the province despite appeals from residents who want to get their alcohol fix amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
In a Facebook post, Remulla said he cannot allow people to spend their money on a vice at a time of crisis.
Remulla warned that those caught drinking will be arrested.
“Bagamat sa batas ay di namin pwedeng pasukin ang bahay pag may ugong na nag iinuman, pag IN PLAIN SIGHT Ng police Officer ang COMMISION OF THE CRIME ay reasonable grounds for action na ang arresting officer,” he said.
The governor appealed to residents to be more patient as life cannot yet return to normal amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
