Dami kasing matigas ulo! Jonvic Remulla mulls placing Cavite underlockdown

Apr 28, 2020 @ 8:37

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla is considering placing the province under total lockdown as the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases continue to rise.

In a Facebook post, Remulla said a total of 156 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the province as of Monday, April 27. He said the jump in the number of cases could be traced back to two weeks ago, when several residents violated the directive to stay at home under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

“Ang mga numero ngayon ay dahil sa nanyari nuong April 6-10 (including testing time). Ito yung panahon ng katigasan ng ulo at walang paki alam sa patakaran,” he said.

While Remulla said he takes responsibility for the rising number of COVID-19 cases, he also made it clear he will not take people’s violations of the ECQ sitting down.

“I will confer with the Mayors later and getma consensus on lockdown rules. I will contact the Philippine Army later for additional reinforcements. Let’s get ready. I will suggest that to the Mayors that we start the Lockdown sooner,” he said.
