May pulis, sundalo nang bantay! Gemma Lubigan explains ‘vitamin enriched’ lockdown for Trece Martires
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla has asked the help of the military and police to implement the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Trece Martires amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the area.
In a Facebook post, Trece Martires Mayor Gemma Lubigan described the move as a “vitamin enriched ECQ.”
“Ang Vitamin Enriched ECQ ay kasama na ang ilang kawani ng AFP sa pagpapatupad nito. Extra strict na sa inspection ng quarantine pass. 1 pass-1 person,” she explained.
Lubigan said social distancing will also be strictly observed in public markets, and the police will be allowed to enter private subdivisions.
“Warning po sa mga miron, chismosa/chismoso, mga nag lalaro ng basketball, wala po na issue na chimis pass ang barangay,” she said.
While Lubigan welcomed the assistance of the military and police, she was also dismayed by the residents’ lack of cooperation.
“Ang nakakalungkot dito, bakit kailangan pa kayong bantayan? Pwede po bang ipakita natin na may disiplina tayo?” she said.
