Jenny Barzaga to give P2,000 to Dasmariñas residents excluded from DSWD’s cash aid program
Residents of Dasmariñas, Cavite will receive P2,000 from the local government if they weren’t included in the list of beneficiaries of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) cash assistance program.
Mayor Jenny Barzaga announced in a Facebook post that all households excluded from DSWD’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) will receive cash aid from the local government.
However, Barzaga said pensioners and households enrolled in DSWD’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) will no longer be given money.
The DSWD has come under fire as it limited the number of beneficiaries for its SAP, which was instituted to help poor families affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
A registration card will be distributed to households in the coming days to determine if they are eligible for the local government’s cash assistance.
