Cash o bigas? Dodo Mandanas explains how P72M from prov’l gov’t will be spent
Batangueños may not receive cash aid from the provincial government even if it has allotted P72 million for COVID-19 response.
In a letter dated April 6, Governor Dodo Mandanas explained that the money could be used by barangay officials to buy rice for distribution to residents.
Mandanas assured Batangueños that they will contiue to receive assistance from the provincial government amid the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, though he did not specify which form it will take.
He said the city or municipal government, as well as barangays, should also help Batangueños by spending their calamity fund.
