Sabi lahat mabibigyan! Andeng Ynares: DSWD only gave Antipolo 89K slots for cash aid
Antipolo Mayor Andeng Ynares has asked the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to explain why there’s a cap on the number of beneficiaries who will receive cash assistance for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In an April 2 Facebook post, Ynares said DSWD will only distribute 89,193 social amelioration card (SAC) forms to barangays even if the latest census shows there are 155,000 households in Antipolo.
Ynares said it’s likely that some Antipolo residents will complain that they haven’t received the forms because DSWD will only distribute a limited number of document to barangays. She appealed to the agency to add more slots for the city.
Ynares said she has been told by DSWD that 4,000 senior citizens and conditional cashh transfer beneficiaries will already receive cash aid even if they don’t fill out the SAC form.
