Andeng Ynares appeals to DSWD: Give cards for cash aid now
Antipolo City Mayor Andeng Ynares has asked the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to give to the local government the Social Amelioration Cards (SACs) necessary for the distribution of financial assistance to residents affected by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, April 1, Ynares said the urgent delivery of the SACs with barcode is necessary so residents can fill out the forms as soon as possible.
“Binigyan ng DILG ng deadline ang mga barangays na maisubmit hanggang April 3, 2020 (Friday) ang mga listahan ng beneficiaries ngunit hanggang ngayon hapon ng April 1, 2020 (Wednesday) ay wala pa rin pong naibibigay na mga SAC forms,” she said.
The SACs will be the local government’s basis in coming up with beneficiaries of cash assistance between P5,000 to P8,000 under the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
Local government units must submit the list to DSWD before the agency releases the money to be given to beneficiaries.
