Gov Hernandez asks for prayers after Laguna reports its first virus case
Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez is asking for prayers after he
confirmed Sunday midnight his province’s first positive case of
coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post, Hernandez said: “Let’s pray for God’s protection
and grace so that we can be far from danger of coronavirus and its
spread completely subsided.”
“Let’s pray for the immediate recovery of those who are stricken with
sickness and will be covered with love and stability for families who
lost their relatives due to the virus,” he added.
Hernandez appealed to his residents to stay calm as he assured them
that his team was contact tracing for the patient to contain the
spread the virus..
“Despite everything, let us not be overcome by fear and apprehension
and see hope in the midst of extreme trials,” said Hernandez.
The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) confirmed that a
patient from Sta. Rosa, Laguna currently under the care of Hernandez
