Mar 9, 2020 @ 8:16

Cainta, Rizal Mayor Kit Nieto met with barangay health workers on Saturday, March 7, after a resident of Filinvest East Subdivision tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a Facebook post, Nieto said the barangay health workers will be going around communities to check residents’ body temperature and assess whether or not they have symptoms of the virus.

He said those who will exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 will be brought to the People’s Center for further checkup.

“Kung mayroon silang makita… tapos ililipat kayo sa ospital natin para gamutin at padaanin sa mga pagsusuri,” Nieto said.

The mayor earlier confirmed that the COVID-19 patient earlier identified as a vendor at Greenhills Shopping Center resides in Cainta. The man’s relatives are undergoing self-quarantine at their home.

Aside from taking the body temperature of residents, Nieto said the barangay health workers will be distributing masks and disinfectants.
